Rootory

Why we built it
Where it started.

Running dozens of client sites and apps, which domain was registered where, when each certificate expired, which e-mail signed in to which account and what ran on which server lived in scattered notes. When something went down, the first alert was usually a message from a client.

Rootory pulls that into a single map and takes over the watching: uptime, certificates, server load, backups and renewals are checked for you, so you hear about problems before your clients do.

It started for our own needs and is a public product today. The infrastructure behind the sites we run, turkai.tr included, is watched in Rootory.

Who is it for?
Who it helps.

Agencies and software teams

Teams running many client sites and apps who want one place to see who manages what.

App and SaaS owners

Products tied to a dozen accounts, stores and services, whose owners don’t want to miss a renewal.

In-house IT and operations

Companies that want servers, domains, subscriptions and their costs in one table.

How it works
In three steps.

  1. 01

Record what you sign in to

Hosting, registrar, app stores, e-mail, payment provider: each account once, with who is responsible. Never a password.

  2. 02

    Connect the product

Pick the domain, the server and the accounts a product runs on. Expiry dates come from the registry by themselves.

  3. 03

    Let Rootory watch

Uptime, SSL, heartbeats, server load and renewals are checked for you.

What it does
Feature by feature.

Know: the inventory

Map of your stack

Every product with the accounts, servers, domains, apps and services it runs on. Pick a product and every list narrows to it.

Accounts without passwords

Which e-mail signs in where, who is responsible and whether 2FA is on. A catalog of 385+ services.

Domains straight from the registry

Expiry and registration dates and nameservers refresh every night; reminders 30, 7 and 1 days before.

Costs and calendar

Monthly and yearly subscriptions linked to what they pay for; each product’s cost and every renewal on one calendar.

Domain watchlist

A taken name is watched; signs that it is dropping are flagged and you are alerted the moment it can be registered.

Providers that stay in sync

Hosting and domain providers connect with a read-only key; servers, domains and costs refresh every night.

Store apps

iOS and Android apps with bundle id, status and developer account; signing keys kept encrypted next to the app.

Watch: the monitors

Uptime and SSL monitoring

Website, keyword, port, DNS and certificate checks every minute; 90 days of history and a public status page per product.

Heartbeats for jobs

Backups, scheduled jobs and queues check in when they finish; when they go quiet you hear about it right away.

Server load monitoring

A tiny agent installed with one file and one command: CPU, memory, disks, restarts and peak processes, with 30 days of history.

Scheduled jobs and services

The agent lists every scheduled job in plain words and flags one that doesn’t run or a service that stays down. Nothing to configure.

Incidents and maintenance

Every outage becomes an incident with a start, an end and notes; take ownership, plan maintenance windows.

Alerts where your team is

E-mail, in-app, Telegram, Slack, Discord or a signed webhook.

Traffic across every site

Analytics for all your sites on one page, compared with the previous period, by channel and page.

Frequently asked.
Short answers.

Does it store my passwords?

No. An account record only holds which e-mail signs in, who is responsible and the 2FA status. Sensitive files such as signing keys are encrypted at rest.

Is it paid?

You can start on a free plan without a card. Plan details are on rootory.dev.

Do I need to install anything on my server?

Uptime and SSL checks run from outside, no install needed. To watch server load and scheduled jobs, a tiny agent is installed with one file and one command.

Can I move from my current monitoring tool?

Yes. Monitors come over from UptimeRobot with a read-only key; servers and domains come from connected providers. Nothing is typed twice.
